Play Hearts online free — the classic trick-avoidance card game
Hearts is the four-player card game where the goal is to score as few points as possible: every heart you take costs one point and the Queen of Spades costs thirteen, unless you are bold enough to take them all and shoot the moon. Play Hearts online free on CardCouch against three computer opponents, with no download and no sign-up.
Each hand starts with a pass of three cards — left, right, across, then a hold hand — before the Two of Clubs leads. Hearts cannot be led until they have been broken, and the standard rules for the first trick apply. Games are played to 100 points; the lowest score wins.
On CardCouch
- Three computer opponents at Easy, Medium and Hard, from carefree play to opponents that pass, duck and dump the Queen with intent.
- Full passing rotation (left, right, across, hold), hearts-broken tracking, shooting the moon and 100-point games.
- A screen-reader-friendly table: every card you can legally play is a real button, and the game announces each play.
- Built for phones as well as desktops, with your difficulty remembered between visits.

- How many points do you play Hearts to?
- CardCouch plays to 100. When any player reaches 100 points the game ends and the player with the lowest score wins.

- Can I play Hearts against the computer for free?
- Yes. Hearts on CardCouch is completely free, with no download, no account and no purchases. You play against three AI opponents in your browser.
- Does it work on a phone?
- Yes. The table fits a phone screen without scrolling sideways, the cards are sized for fingers, and the passing screen fits on small displays.
