Play Pyramid Solitaire online free — pair cards to 13
Pyramid Solitaire is the one-player card game where 28 cards are dealt face up as a seven-row pyramid and you clear it by removing pairs of uncovered cards whose values add up to 13 — Ace and Queen, 2 and Jack, 3 and 10, 4 and 9, 5 and 8, 6 and 7 — while Kings, worth 13 alone, come off with a single tap. Play Pyramid Solitaire online free on CardCouch, with no download and no sign-up.
Only cards with nothing overlapping them can be played, so the pyramid comes apart from the bottom row up. Draw from the 24-card stock when you are stuck, pair the waste or the face-up stock card with the pyramid, and recycle the waste for up to three passes. Unlimited undo is built in, and the site remembers your best time, fewest moves and total wins.
On CardCouch
- Classic Pyramid rules: 28-card pyramid, pairs that total 13, Kings removed alone, and three passes through the stock.
- Tap-to-pair play that works with a mouse, a finger or the keyboard; the top card of the stock is face up and can be paired directly.
- Unlimited undo with a move counter and timer, plus a Passes-left counter so you always know where you stand.
- Personal bests — fastest win and fewest moves — saved on your device; the pyramid scales to fit a phone.
Frequently asked questions
- Which cards add up to 13 in Pyramid Solitaire?
- Ace + Queen, 2 + Jack, 3 + 10, 4 + 9, 5 + 8 and 6 + 7. A King is 13 on its own and is removed alone. Suits do not matter.
- Which cards can I play?
- Uncovered cards only: a pyramid card with both cards beneath it removed, the top card of the waste, and the face-up top card of the stock. The bottom row is uncovered from the start.
- How many passes through the stock do I get?
- Three: the first run through the stock plus two recycles of the waste. The Passes left counter shows how many recycles remain.
- Is Pyramid Solitaire free to play here and does it work on a phone?
- Yes and yes. Pyramid on CardCouch is free, needs no download or account, and the seven-row pyramid scales to fit a phone screen.
