Play TriPeaks Solitaire online free — clear the three peaks
TriPeaks (Tri Peaks, Three Peaks) is the fast, streaky solitaire where 28 cards are dealt as three overlapping peaks and you clear them by playing any uncovered card that is one rank above or below the card on the waste pile — Ace and King count as neighbours, so a run can wrap around. When nothing fits, turn a card from the stock and carry on. Play TriPeaks Solitaire online free on CardCouch, with no download and no sign-up.
Only the base row starts face up; each card turns over as the two cards below it are cleared, so the peaks come apart from the bottom up and the game is about planning runs that uncover the most cards. There is one pass through the 23-card stock, so a long streak matters. Unlimited undo is built in, and the site remembers your best time, fewest moves, longest streak and total wins on your device.
On CardCouch
- Classic TriPeaks rules: three peaks of 28 cards, play one rank up or down with Ace–King wrap, one pass through the stock, win by clearing every peak.
- Cards flip face up the moment they are uncovered, playable cards are marked, and a streak counter shows your run of plays without drawing.
- Unlimited undo, a move counter and timer, and personal bests (time, moves, longest streak, wins) saved on your device; a closed tab or reload brings the same deal back.
- A board that scales to fit any screen, from a 375px phone to a desktop, with keyboard play and screen-reader announcements of every card played or drawn.
Frequently asked questions
- How do you play TriPeaks Solitaire?
- Play any uncovered card from the three peaks that is one rank higher or lower than the top card of the waste pile — suits do not matter and Ace and King are next to each other. When no card fits, turn one from the stock onto the waste. You win when all 28 cards in the peaks are gone.
- Can you wrap from King to Ace?
- Yes. On CardCouch a King can be played on an Ace and an Ace on a King, so a run like Q, K, A, 2 is legal. Some versions forbid the wrap; ours allows it, which is the more common rule.
- How many passes through the stock do you get?
- One. There are 23 cards in the stock after the deal (28 go to the peaks and one starts the waste), and once they are gone the only cards you can play are the ones that still fit. Unlimited undo lets you back up and try a different line.
- Is every TriPeaks deal winnable?
- No. With one pass through the stock some deals cannot be cleared even with perfect play, though the large majority can, especially with undo. The skill is in choosing which of several playable cards to take so the next uncovered cards keep the run going.
- Do I need to sign up to play TriPeaks?
- No. Open the page and the cards are dealt. Everything is free, nothing is installed, and your bests are stored on your device.
